Scott will be your first point of contact. From taking your reservation, to making sure you are comfortable, his attention to detail and warm personality will make you feel right at home. About the Home The building was constructed as a single family home in 1902. It was originally built by W.A. Given and purchased in 1920 by Frank and Minnie Berg. Frank was a custodian with the Emporia School system for many years and his wife Minnie was a school teacher. In 1928 their son Carl Berg married Marie Specht in a small ceremony that took place in front of the curved glass window of the house. The Berg's owned the home for over 40 years. Following their departure from the home, it changed hands many times and used mostly as rental property. In 1992 the building underwent a major renovation and was opened as a Bed and Breakfast. The home was featured with three other historical homes on the 2006 Holiday Homes Tour presented by The Lyon County Historical Society. We hope you enjoy the rich history surrounding The White Rose Inn as much as we do! Come and join us, be pampered! We have one goal, to ensure your time with us exceeds your expectations! |
